Before going into our afternoon creative (connection) activity, it’s always fun to loosen everyone up and enjoy a specialty cocktail, complete with the recipe and tutorial. Grapefruit margaritas aren’t just refreshing and delicious—they offer a few added benefits that make them a popular twist on the classic cocktail. High in vitamin C and antioxidants, grapefruit also pairs beautifully with herbs, including mint, rosemary, thyme or basil. Turn them into mocktails for a healthier spin.
Recipe
- Lime the rim of the glass and dip in Tahin or salt, or simply leave plain
- Add ice to the glass or use a shaker to mix
- Add one shot of tequila
- Quarter a grapefruit and squeeze in one wedge (or more)
- Fill with Fresca or a club soda of choice
- Garnish with lime or grapefruit and a twig of herbs
- Make it spicy by adding slices of jalapeno
